In the framework of the EU-funded project El-Hiwar II, the College of Europe Executive Education, Training Projects Office organised an online Institutional Training Workshop on Regional Integration.
By exchanging openly on the main challenges regionalism is facing in a more competitive international system, the event aimed to shed light on bi-regional dialogue, lessons learnt from other regional initiatives around the world and internal differences faced by regional blocks.
This training gathered over 20 stakeholders: staff from the EU (DG NEAR, EEAS, EU Delegations), from the League of Arab States (LAS Secretariat, LAS Mission in Brussels) and from ECLASLO (the European Commission – League of Arab States Liaison Office). Experts and researchers led the training modules.
El-Hiwar II: Training and Information Course on Euro-Arab Diplomacy, is a project funded by European Commission DG NEAR and implemented by the College of Europe. It is conceived as a dialogue tool for the EU and the LAS to support strengthened work relations and to learn about each other’s functioning, mechanisms and policies.
