TunisiaEU funds cybercrime training for Palestinian judges
Thirteen Palestinian judges concluded on 13 June a training on cybercrime at the Judicial Institute of Jordan in Amman. The EU Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support (EUPOL COPPS) has facilitated and funded the event.
The four-day training aimed to expose Palestinian Judges to generalities and latest developments on the cybercrime, thus raising the capabilities of all judges involved in dealing with the specificity of these cases and overcoming limitations of current Palestine Law on cybercrime.
During the training period, participants paid visits to The Computer Crimes Dept. Laboratory at the General Security Department – Directorate of Criminal Evidence and Laboratories and to the Cyber Crime Section at the Public Prosecution in Amman.
EUPOL COPPS is the European Union Co-ordinating Office for Palestinian Police Support. The aim of the Mission is to contribute to the establishment of sustainable and effective policing arrangements and to advise Palestinian counterparts on criminal justice and rule of law related aspects under Palestinian ownership.
