EU-funded MEDSt@rts call for applications to support entrepreneurship: 240 applications received

240 applications from Italy, Greece, Tunisia, Lebanon and Palestine were submitted by young aspiring entrepreneurs in response to MEDSt@rts partners’ calls.

The specific objective of these national calls was to identify and select aspiring entrepreneurs (25 each country) with innovative business ideas in sectors such as digitalisation, agri-food, eco-design, craftsmanship, cultural heritage, tourism, personal services, education, isolation economy ideas, green and social enterprises.

The applicants are unemployed young people (18-40 years) and companies that have recently started an entrepreneurial activity for a maximum of 4 years, whose partners or owner (in case of sole proprietorship) have an average age between 18-40 years.

The best ideas will receive expert business development support and up to €10,000 in financial contribution.

The main objective of ‘Med microfinance support system for start-ups'(MEDSt@rts) project is to design a common cross-border strategy in the beneficiary countries (Italy, Greece, Tunisia, Palestine, Lebanon) by providing access to credit for usually non-bankable people, developing an innovative model which can be easily replaced in different environments.
