EU Jeel Connectors in Libya are leading impactful initiatives that empower young people and foster positive change in their communities. From advocating for youth with disabilities to mobilising action for the environment, their efforts highlight the power of youth engagement in shaping a better future.
Fatimah Almurtadhay, an EU Jeel Connector from Libya, organised a Coffee Talk Initiative in the Al Jabal Al Akhdar region to support youth with disabilities. The event raised awareness about EU-funded programmes designed to help individuals with disabilities in their personal and professional growth. Through practical training and inspiring discussions, the initiative encouraged participants to pursue their ambitions and take advantage of EU-supported opportunities.
Meanwhile, Yasmin Elahmar launched the “EU-Libya Youth Earth Advocates Coffee Talk,” bringing together young activists from the EU Jeel Connect network, the Libyan Organization for Environmental and Climate Work (LECAO), and Ma-teen Libya for Youth Development. Joined by climate specialists and environmental enthusiasts, the session explored ways for young people to contribute to climate action and environmental protection, reinforcing the role of youth in safeguarding the planet.
These initiatives showcase the unwavering commitment of EU Jeel Connectors in Libya to inclusion, sustainability, and youth empowerment.
