EU support for Palestinian traffic officers to attend UK road policing conference

From 02 – 06 October 2017, three PCP Traffic Officers conducted a visit to the United Kingdom that included participation in TISPOL, the international Roads Policing conference held in Manchester and a study visit to the Cleveland and Durham Specialist Operations Unit, a UK Police Traffic Department.
The events were attended by the Head of PCP Traffic, Colonel Abu Snaid as well as male and female Officers from his Department.

The delegation was welcomed by Assistant Chief Constable Adrian Roberts and also had the opportunity to meet Mr Barry Coppinger, the Police & Crime Commissioner for Cleveland. Participants discussed topics including Partnership Working, Casualty Reduction Initiatives, Road Safety Campaigns and the TISPOL conference.
 

The five-day visit, jointly funded and facilitated by EUPOLCOPPS and USSC comes in the context of the Mission’s continuing support to the PCP Traffic Department.
