The government of Spain is partnering in the launch of #YoungMedvoices2030, a region-wide campaign to empower Mediterranean youth in accelerating the implementation of the global Agenda for Sustainable Development.
The campaign is affiliated to “Young Mediterranean Voices”, the region’s leading debate and policy leadership platform coordinated by the Anna Lindh Foundation with the support of the European Commission (DG Neighbourhood And Englargement Policy).
The campaign, which will be developed over the coming year through a series of youth-led national forums, was announced on the occasion of the first Young Mediterranean Voices Debate and Policy Forum hosted in Malta from 2-5 July 2019.
Through the Malta Forum, young people from more than 20 countries of North Africa, the Middle East, Europe and the Balkans, led intercultural debates on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGS), including the Goals for “Quality Education” (SDG 4), “Gender Equality” (SDG 5), “Reducing Inequality” (SDG 10), “Climate Action” (SDG 13) and “Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions” (SDG 16).
