The European union and the United Kingdom have joined Switzerland and the World Bank to launch the second phase of Moussanada Fund, aimed at supporting the Tunisian government in its reforms, and more specifically, in the modernisation of its financial sector, the reinforcement of governance and support to local authorities for the successful implementation of decentralisation.

Initiated by the Swiss cooperation and the World Bank in 2014, it has now reached approximately EUR 9.4 million. The EU and the UK have joined the other partners in the second phase to coordinate the development aid to Tunisia.

Moussanada is an initiative through which different actors offer their know-how and financial support to implement decided and planned reforms. It was designed to respond, in a dynamic and flexible way, to the needs of the Tunisian authorities in the relevant areas. The best national and international experts are mobilised to increase the efficiency, the social impact and the success of funded projects.
