Drug Trafficking is nowadays one of the most serious challenges faced by countries on both sides of the Mediterranean. According to its mandate, EUBAM Libya is assisting national authorities with the best practices to effectively counter this scourge.
Last week EUBAM’s Head, Mr. Jan Vyčítal was received by the Head of the Libyan Agency of Narcotics and Psychotropic Drugs Control (ANGA,) Maj. Gen. Khaled al-Mabruk, to evaluate the ongoing cooperation and a vision for the future. EUBAM looks forward to support ANGA with special equipment and through the organisation of expert study visits in Europe, with a particular focus on the development of forensics capabilities.
This Sunday, EUBAM will start a week training for ANGA officers aimed at building up their capacity to fight against cross-border crime.
