The fourth seminar in the 12-month INVESTMED training programme will take place on Tuesday 25 January, at 10:00 CET. The seminar will focus on how new businesses can integrate principles of circular economy, and will feature an expert panel from the fashion, building and agro-food sectors.
Transitioning to a green economy is a key concern for countries and regions across the world. One of the challenges in achieving this transition is the move from linear production processes towards closed cycle production and consumption behaviour. This implies a major disruption to the way businerss models have traditionally been envisaged, but also represents an opportunity to add value to products, use resources more efficiently in production, and reduce negative environmental impacts of businesses’ operations.
The INVESTMED webinars form part of the project’s Sustainable Business Management Programme, which is open to current and prospective entrepreneurs from Egypt, Tunisia and Lebanon working in the green economy, blue economy, and cultural and creative sectors. The seminars aim to complement the training content by bringing together experts in these fields from around the Euro-Mediterranean region.
