Karama Human Rights Film Festival (KHRFF) announces the launching of its 12th edition’s main events for this year from from 5 to 20 December.
The EU-funded festival in its 12th edition this year will select human rights films on topics on the theme: ”Human Right, a fantasy world?” films that document or depict the changes and transformations that took place in the past year across the region and across the rest of the world, tackling topics of social justice for the elderly and their right-to-healthcare.
The organisers are currently accepting entries for films of the following genres: short fiction, feature fiction, documentary, animation. Films should be produced after January 2018. Submissions’ regular deadline is 15 September 2021. Late deadline is 15 October 2021.
KHRFF seeks to create a cross-cultural platform for artists, film-makers and the wider general public to engage in issues relating to human rights, in particular to the dignity of human beings, their sense of worth, belonging and spirit of common welfare among their communities and the wider national spectrum.
The aim is to advocate for human rights, invite debate, encourage critical thinking and civic engagement, and open democratic dialogue about human rights issues among the various international, regional and local institutions and organizations, and the wider public.
