TunisiaMed Pearls: Deadline Extension for call for Proposals for Product creation
In order to support participants wishing to apply to the Call for Proposals for Slow Tourism Product Creation, the Med Pearls project has decided to extend the deadline to submit applications in the following countries: Jordan, Italy, Egypt, Greece and Palestine.
The application period is open and will remain so until 15 ;October 2021 at 18.00 (CEST).
The calalls for proposals for sub-grants aims at the creation of new Slow Tourism products in the pilot areas of the project addressed to Destination Management Companies (DMCs) or Incoming Travel Agencies.
The main pillars of the Med Pearls project are: to attract tourism to less-known areas with a low number of visitors per year; to work on the deseasonalization of tourism offers and hence contributing to more job opportunities and local economic development; and to avoid the negative effects of mass tourism choosing a responsible and sustainable approach which preserves local communities’ identity.
