On Monday 24 March, High Representative/Vice-President Kaja Kallas will travel to Israel and Palestine. The High Representative will meet with Isaac Herzog, the President of Israel, Gideon Sa’ar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Israel, and Yair Lapid, Israeli opposition leader. She will also visit Yad Vashem. In Palestine, she will meet with Mahmoud Abbas, President of the Palestinian Authority, and Mohammad Mustafa, the Palestinian Prime Minister/Foreign Minister. In Ramallah she will also meet with the heads of mission of EUPOL COPS and EUBAM Rafah. The mission will be an occasion to discuss the conflict in Gaza; recall the importance of unimpeded access and sustained distribution of humanitarian assistance at scale into and throughout Gaza; and call for an immediate return to the full implementation of the ceasefire-hostage release agreement.
