An international training course on crisis management bringing together English-speaking countries from the southern shore of the Mediterranean will be held at IMREDD, Institut Méditerranéen du Risque de l’Environnement et du Développement Durable in Nice, France, from 17 to 20 May 2020. The training is organised within the framework of the PPRD South 3 project and financed by the European Union.
The four-day training course will take the form of an international videoconference and will confront the participating countries, namely the Middle Eastern countries, with multiple crisis scenarios to which they will have to respond. The objective is to improve the procedures for inter-state and European Union mutual aid to deal with the increasing risks and threats of our highly evolving environment.
The overall objective of EU-funded PPRD South 3 is to contribute to increasing resilience and reducing the social, economic and environmental costs of natural and man-made disasters in the ENP South region, based on the results of the PPRD South Program and the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism (UCPM).
