The second edition of the Syrian Feminist School took place in Lebanon. This session was organised after the successful first edition in 2022.
The main objective of the Feminist School was the deepening of knowledge that women’s rights defenders already have in gender analysis and advocacy to respond to violence faced by Syrian women.
During these 6 days, Gender experts shared their experiences and views in a comprehensive and interactive way. They led workshops about different topics such as: Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG); feminist waves and theories; International Law linked with women’s rights in the Syrian context; UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security (UNSCR 1325).
