The Delegation of the EU to Egypt offers the post of Accounts Clerk (Local Agent Group III) in the Delegation’s Finance & Contracts, Audit Section. The team consists of 14 people and there are occasional atypical working hours.
Under this post, the recruited person will be attributed functions depending on the needs of the Delegation, and on the changes of these needs. The successful candidate will serve under the supervision and responsibility of the Head of Finance & Contracts, Audit Section, providing support, expertise and assistance in accounting.

Following main tasks and duties are currently required: 

• Preparation and follow-up of weekly, monthly, quarterly and bi-annually reporting;
• Preparation of ad-hoc reporting/statistics;
• Follow-up of enquiries concerning accounting/data quality issues and related corrective measures;
• Other horizontal tasks related to accounting and financial matters not directly linked to specific projects;
• Assistance to Finance & Contracts, Audit Section and Cooperation Section’s colleagues for all issues linked to DG NEAR accounting/financial/project management IT systems (like CRIS, ABAC, OPSYS, MIS, etc…);
• Transfer of colleagues’ requests to IT helpdesks and regular follow-up;
• Sharing information on IT systems/tools and related trainings, and filing on the share drive;
• Support in sub delegations’ management, permission lists, access requests and periodical updates;
• Assistance in contract preparation;
• Assistance in financial and contractual implementation of projects;
• Assistance in preparation of evaluation committees;
• Any other accounting or financial tasks, as per business requirements;
• Any other administrative tasks requested in the interest of the service.

The base salary will depend on relevant and verified employment experience, typically starting from 19,407 EGP.  There is a competitive benefits package, subject to certain conditions, including personal leave days and public holidays, health insurances and a retirement savings plan.
