The Euro-Mediterranean Innovation Marketplace 2024 is an annual event organized by the European Commission in collaboration with the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM). This event aims to showcase the results of research and innovation (R&I) projects funded through various EU programmes (H2020, Horizon Europe, PRIMA) and beyond, as well as explore collaboration opportunities among various regional stakeholders.
The marketplace this year will focus on three key sectors: Health, Renewable Energies, and Climate Change, following the priority areas set by the UfM Ministerial Conference on Research and Innovation on 27 June 2022.
A parallel workshop will provide an in-depth overview of the showcased projects, featuring highly scalable results through engaging pitches. Participants will also discuss challenges and opportunities related to technology transfer, commercialization, and scaling up innovations in the Mediterranean region.
The marketplace will allow 25 projects to showcase their results in the following categories:
You have the opportunity to arrange pre-scheduled B2B meetings with the projects/innovators, potential investors as well as mentors. These meetings will provide a platform for in-depth discussions about the showcased innovations and potential collaborations. You will also have the chance to meet with potential investors who are looking to support promising projects and help bring them to market.
Moreover, mentors with expertise in various sectors will be available to provide guidance and support. These mentors can offer valuable insights into scaling up innovations, navigating regulatory landscapes, and identifying market opportunities.
