The Digital Innovation for Peace project is looking for a moderator to organize online media sessions for professionals from the MENA region.

Deutsche Welle Akademie in the framework of the project ‘’Digital innovation for peace’’, funded by the European Union, is looking for a professional moderator to facilitate and support four online sessions per month on media innovation topics for media professionals from the MENA region, next Month (May).

The moderator will be responsible for facilitating the sessions, encouraging participation, and supporting the expert. The sessions will be around a specific Media topic of discussion each month. The selected candidate will have a (trial period of 3 months).

“Digital innovation for peace” is a project aiming to make societies in the MENA region, specifically Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Palestine, Jordan and Lebanon, more resilient to disinformation and supportive to the promotion of peace in the digital space.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Facilitate the smooth flow of the session by ensuring that all participants are on track and that the expert’s presentation is understood. 
  • Monitor the chat and Q&A sections during the session and respond to any questions or concerns that may arise. 
  • Encourage participation from all attendees and create an inclusive and engaging atmosphere. 
  • Support the expert in troubleshooting any technical issues that may arise during the session. 
  • Ensure that all participants adhere to the code of conduct and any other guidelines set out for the session. 
  • Conclude the session by summarizing key points discussed and collecting feedback from participants. 
  • Prepare and maintain detailed notes of the session for future reference.
