To celebrate the recent International Women’s Day, the European Union Delegation to Algeria produced a brochure honouring the Algerian women undertaking and benefiting from projects financed by the European Union, as well as the programmes being implemented within the country, aimed at improving the socio-economic living conditions of the female population.
Women farmers, teachers, students, business owners, artists, craftswomen and activists – Algerian women are found in all sectors and on all fronts. This brochure recounts the journey that some of them have taken, and gives an overview of the invaluable human capital that women in Algeria represent and the professional or academic opportunities that are offered to them within the framework of EU-Algeria cooperation.
