In December 2024, EUNAVFOR MED IRINI continued its operations as part of the European integrated approach to Libya. In December 2024, Operation EUNAVFOR MED IRINI investigated 401 merchant vessels via radio calls (out of 17.161) and carried out 4 visits on ships with Masters’ consent (out of 692). The Operation also monitored 44 suspect flights (out of 1.698) and continued to monitor 25 airports (and landing strips) and 16 ports (and oil terminals).
