An ICMPD case study report explores best practices and challenges in diaspora engagement

The aim of this report is to provide an overview of government-led strategies and their approaches towards their diaspora through diverse institutional, legislative and policy provisions. Furthermore, the report includes good practices and lessons learnt from the country case studies selected in order to provide examples of constructive legal frameworks that allow for effective diaspora participation and engagement. Four countries were selected as case studies: Lebanon, India, Ireland and Italy.
