This survey was commissioned in the framework of the EU Neighbours South Communication Programme to help better understand the awareness amongst citizens of each of the 10 countries of the Southern Neighbourhood about the EU and its initiatives and action in the region and at the local level and to monitor their support and perceptions about these actions and the partnership with the EU.
This year’s report has been upgraded to include further analysis considering different countries’ socioeconomic, political, and cultural environments. Moreover, questionnaires were reviewed after meetings and correspondence with all EU Delegations (EUDs) in the southern neighbourhood.
The report is supported by country factsheets and individual country analysis reports for each EUD.
This report presents the results of this survey, conducted in Autumn 2021. and explores a range of issues, including:
