Women should be the prime decision makers when it comes to family planning, because such a planning and the spacing between child births has a considerable impact not only on women’s health but also on their education and professional life, work-life balance, the harmony of their couples , their social life and more importantly on the socio-economic situation of the entire family.

Family planning decisions require proper access to information, counselling and adequate healthcare services which are often lacking and not readily available to women in the Southern Neighbourhood region.

Namees Arnous, EU Goodwill Ambassador and CEO of E7kky, hosts in this episode of #SheTalks, Dr Maha Wanis, reproductive health specialist at the United Nations Population Fund, for a very insightful talk about EU’s support of Egypt’s National Strategy.
