Dhia Jendoubi embodies the traits of dedication and perseverance. A tunisian content creator, he is fueled by his unrelenting desire to create a better future for himself and his community, and he takes pride in producing meaningful content.
Dhia loves spending time with his friends, but content creation often takes up too much of his time, making it a challenge for him to find a balance between his virtual existence on social media and his real-life interactions. However, he has learned to prioritise his time and sometimes pauses his content creation to focus on his reality.
Dhia’s childhood dream was to become an astronomer, and he used to get lost in the stars as a child. His father played a significant role in shaping his worldview and instilling in him the belief that societies progress and improve if their ideas and mentalities do. His father’s passing left a deep impact on him, but he is carrying on his father’s legacy through his work as a content creator. Inspired by this legacy, Dhia creates content that corrects misleading ideas and highlights the importance of cultural and historical tourism. He travels around the country to historical monuments, telling their stories and boosting tourism. He firmly believes that if we ignore our past, we won’t understand our present, and we can’t build our future.
For Dhia, his father’s quote from a poem in Arabic holds a special meaning, “Even if death ends my life one day, my letters will keep living from the grave.” He believes that his father’s writing will outlive him and be the mark he leaves on the world. To Dhia, he is doing the same thing, but his letters, his mark, his impact that he will leave is not poems, it’s the content he creates. His father’s belief in him continues to inspire Dhia to hold on and keep fighting for what he believes in.
Despite the challenges facing youth in the region, Dhia advises perseverance and staying dedicated to one’s goals. He encourages others to hold on and keep fighting, even if it turns out that they are not on the right path. He also stresses the importance of staying true to oneself and being honest, qualities that he learned from his father.
