The Union for the Mediterranean is joining forces with the Arab Water Council, GIZ, PRIMA, GWP-MED and CYI in the organisation of a session on Innovative Approaches for Water Sector Adaptation and Resilience (Success Stories and Best Practices). The objective of the session will be to share experiences from the Mediterranean and MENA region on the Water Energy Food Ecosystems (WEFE) approach best practices, knowledge, and the lessons learned in implementing WEFE Nexus in the Arab Region.

The UfM-led session will start with a keynote speech presentation from the UfM Deputy Secretary General, Almotaz Abadi, on the Nexus approach and UfM actions in the MENA region, two young Nexus projects’ leaders from Jordan and Lebanon who will then showcase their innovative approaches implementing the WEFE Nexus for adaptation and resilience.
