20 years of TAIEX: workshop series continues with market surveillance

A seminar on market surveillance, bringing together representatives from the European Neighbourhood partner countries, the Western Balkans and Turkey will be held on 19-20 May in Malta in the framework of the EU-funded Technical Assistance and Information Exchange Instrument (TAIEX). The event marks the twentieth anniversary of the EU’s institution building instrument, TAIEX.
 
Focusing on the challenges and best practice in the field of market surveillance, the participants will discuss the road Malta took from a candidate country to a Member State, having first benefitted from technical assistance, now providing it.
 
TAIEX is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission. It supports public administrations with regard to the approximation, application and enforcement of EU legislation as well as facilitating the sharing of EU best practices.(EU Neighbourhood Info
