Tunisia6th meeting of the Egypt-EU Association Committee: determination on both sides to deepen dialogue and cooperation
The Egypt-EU Association Committee held its sixth session in Cairo on November 8th, 2018.
The meeting availed both sides the opportunity to consider the progress in the implementation of the Partnership Priorities for the period 2017-2020, as well as the development of cooperation in all areas since the last session of the Association Committee in 2016. They highlighted a number of potential areas for further cooperation, in line with their Partnership Priorities and Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt’s vision 2030.
Both sides reached an agreement, subject to internal procedures, on the Implementing Arrangement for the participation of Egypt in PRIMA (Program for Research and Innovation in the Mediterranean Area), which is a milestone in EU-Egypt cooperation in research and innovation.
