Deadline: 15 January 2018

The European Diploma in Cultural Project Management is a pan-European training programme organised by the Marcel Hicter Association. It aims to foster cultural diversity as well as transregional and transnational cultural exchanges.

Each year, roughly 25 professionals from approximately 20 countries are taking part in the European Diploma. Since 1989, more than 570 cultural managers from 45 countries (from Europe mainly and the Middle East, Canada, Senegal, etc.) followed this course. The programme is supported by the Council of Europe.

The objective of the programme is threefold:

  • To strengthen the knowledge of cultural managers regarding European, national and regional cultural policies;
  • To improve cultural managers’ skills to run cooperative cultural projects;
  • To develop a network of European cultural managers.

Cultural managers from public and private organizations who are actively involved in the management of cultural and artistic projects in their region, with at least 2 years of experience, are invited to apply. Applicants must be fluent in English, as the programme will be taught in English and French.

The European Diploma is organised so that the participants can continue professional activities during their programme. The Diploma lasts one year and is organized in three phases: two residential sessions, a comparative study and an evaluation plus seminar phase. The next training sessions will be organised in Ireland from 11-20 May 2018 and in Macedonia in from 7-16 October 2018.
