Marking the end of its current phase, the EU-funded Italy-Tunisia Cross Border Cooperation programme will be holding a meeting on “Research and environment between Italy and Tunisia: projects tell their stories” on 25 November in Tunis, gathering the main actors of the programme during the period 2007-2013.

The event, which will also mark the launch of the new programme phase 2014-2020, aims to consolidate the reflection on the achievements and challenges faced by projects funded under the programme in the areas of research and environment, in view of capitalising and setting a system of results and tools and, at the same time, sharing the objectives, content and means of implementation of projects, and identifying new needs and priorities.

Cross-Border Cooperation (CBC) reinforces cooperation between regions of EU Member States and Partner Countries on EU’s external borders. EU financing for the Italy-Tunisia CBC programme is of €25.1 million for the period 2007-2013. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
