#TeamEurope – the European Union and its Member States have launched, from 30 September to 17 October, climate diplomacy weeks in several regions throughout Morocco under the theme of “Action and Ambition”.

These activities will be organised in association with several Moroccan partners with the aim of taking action in favour of the climate in the lead up to COP26, which is to be held in Glasgow in November.

They include participation in youth workshops in oases, a Youth and Climate conference, a meeting between young people and European diplomats, the closure of a Morocco-EU twinning around the National Charter for the Environment and Sustainable Development, a workshop on the development of electric mobility, the launch of a radio and web campaign to raise awareness of climate change, amongst others.

Alongside these activities and in order to inform and alert young Moroccan people of the phenomenon of climate change, Hit Radio and the European Union in Morocco have launched a national media campaign deployed on the radio, on the web and on social networks.

Other activities on the themes of the environment and the fight against climate change are planned throughout October and November and will continue beyond COP26. These activities also complement the various programs and projects of the European Union and its Member States to support Morocco towards the ecological transition, the major event of which was the launch, at the end of June, of the Morocco-EU Green Partnership initiative.
