The EBRD’s Vice President of Banking, Alain Pilloux,visited Egypt from 17 to 20 October for high-level meetings with government officials to discuss the upcoming country strategy, meet the business community and sign projects.
Ahead of the visit, Mr Pilloux said: “This visit demonstrates our continued support for the Egyptian economy and our commitment to the development of the private sector. I look forward to the discussions on our new country strategy that is under preparation and on how we can work together even more closely and effectively to achieve sustainable and inclusive economic growth.”
Egypt is a founding member of the EBRD. Since the start of its operations there in 2012, the Bank has invested more than €8 billion in 136 projects in the country.
