TunisiaEgypt: EU Ambassador discusses EU-supported programmes with the Governor of Aswan
EU supported programmes in Aswan, their impact on beneficiaries and future cooperation were the centre of discussion between Team Europe with Ambassador Berger, the Egyptian Team with the Governor of Aswan and partners from the National Council of Women, Ministries of Foreign Affairs and International Co-operation, and the UN Team with the Country Co-ordinator and UN Women.
Ambassador Berger, together with the Governor of Aswan, the President of the National Council for women, the UN president coordinator and UN Women president in Egypt also visited the EU-funded national program for women financial and digital inclusion ”Ta7wisha” in Aswan. The program is a showcase example of a country-wide programme for women empowerment. Its success is evident through its positive impact on the lives of many women in Egypt.
