The EU Delegation to Egypt has launched its 9th annual Photography Competition for amateur photographers under the title “Job Creativity of Egyptians and Youth”. This year’s theme explores the innovation of Egyptian entrepreneurs, whose creativity and endurance in the face of economic uncertainty inspires globally and notably among Egyptian youth.

Contestants are encouraged to capture the creative means by which many Egyptians find and create employment. There are various opportunities to capture this innovation and ambition, whether it is a street vendor or a college graduate inventing a new gadget.  Unlike previous years, the theme of “Job Creativity of Egyptians and Youth” was chosen by the public through an online poll.

The EU Delegation to Egypt will award prizes for the three best photographs as judged by an independent panel and the Delegation’s 2017 calendar will feature the top 12 entries. A special award ceremony and exhibition will also be held to showcase the top 30 submissions.
Over a thousand contestants have participated in previous competitions and last year alone saw more than 250 photos submitted by 72 contestants from several governorates.

The deadline for submission is Sunday 13 November 2016 at 15:30. (EU Neighbourhood Info)
