EU Ambassador To Egypt Christian Berger said at the opening ceremony of the 6th Aswan International Women Film Festival “Our partnership with the ‘Aswan International Women Film Festival’ reflects a commitment by the European Union to support women rights and empowerment through the lens of art.
A number of films participating in this year’s festival are representing 12 EU Member States. This reflects the strong bond with the European cinema that has longstanding ties with the Egyptian and the South Mediterranean cinema.”
