The EU Delegation to Egypt has published a video message from Ambassador Ivan Surkoš, Head of the European Union to Egypt on its Facebook page. In the video, Ambassador Surkoš is explaining why the European Union is keen to support climate action projects and initiatives in Egypt.
“Europeans and Egyptians are living on the planet earth, and we are sharing the Mediterranean. So it’s quite naturally that our cooperation in environment issues is at the centre of our attention”, says Ambassador Surkoš. “Half of our development assistance and cooperation with Egypt is related to climate change. I’m talking about an amount of 700 million euros”, he adds.
