TunisiaEU Ambassador to Algeria visits the CREA in Oran
In his first official trip outside the capital since taking up his post, the European Union Ambassador to Algeria, Diego Mellado, visited Oran on 13 and 14 November at the invitation of the President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council (CREA), Kamel Moula.
During this visit, in the presence of local authorities, the Ambassador met with economic operators of the Oran region and discussed opportunities for investment and for stronger partnerships between European and Algerian businesses. He also had the opportunity of visiting the facilities of Tapidor, a company specialising in the manufacture of carpets, with a presence in several international markets.
The visit, which also allowed the EU Ambassador to discover the city of Oran and some of its emblematic sights, took place in the context of the prospects for strengthening relations between European and Algerian businesses.
