The European Union and Morocco have concluded the negotiations on the renewal of the Partnership Fisheries agreement. In a joint statement published on 20 July, both parties welcomed the constructive spirit that prevailed during these negotiations and agreed to take the necessary measures in order to achieve the entry into force of the agreement within the shortest possible period of time, taking into account their respective procedures. They also announced that they would “remain in close contact in a spirit of consultation and partnership until the entry into force.”
