TunisiaEU cross-border cooperation programme celebrates International Day of Rural Women
The ENI CBC Med Programme is organizing a webinar to celebrate the United Nations’ International Day of Rural Women on 15 October from 11:00 to 13:00 CET.
The objective of the webinar “Unleashing the potential of Mediterranean women in rural areas: constraints and solutions in the COVID-19 era” is to analyse the situation of employment of rural women in the Mediterranean, discuss the main constraints for rural women to reach the labour market and highlight solutions and good practices that can bolster the inclusion of women in economic life. A selection of opportunities from the ENI CBC Med projects for women in terms of training, employment and business creation will be presented.
The webinar will bring the point of view of speakers from both sides of the Mediterranean, including experts, academics, project managers and women from rural areas.
The event will be introduced by a representative of the Union for the Mediterranean which has recently launched a Mediterranean-wide mechanism to monitor the progress on gender equality.
