A meeting around the State-civil society partnership was held on Tuesday 19 March at the Farah Hotel in Rabat in the presence of Mr. Mustapha EL KHALFI, Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of relations with Parliament and civil society, Government spokesperson, Claudia WIEDEY, Ambassador, Head of the European Union Delegation in Morocco and Mrs. Mariacarmen COLITTI, Director of the United Nations Office for Project Services for North Africa. The various partners also launched the national Moucharaka Mouwatina programme to support civil society in Morocco.
This meeting provided an opportunity to present and discuss the main findings and recommendations of the technical assistance mission provided by the European Union to Morocco for the benefit of the Ministry.
Bringing together civil society, ministerial departments and public institutions, this event provided a forum for debate with the various actors and stakeholders, in order to gather their comments and recommendations and to exchange views on the evolution of the state-civil society partnership framework. The functionalities of the “charaka-association.ma” portal, which aims to strengthen governance, transparency of public funding and the development of partnerships with civil society, were also discussed.
