TunisiaEU-funded AQUACYCLE project: Upcoming stakeholder workshop in Tunisia
The Centre International des Technologies de l’Environnement de Tunis (CITET) and the Centre des Recherches et des Technologies des Eaux (CERTE) are organizing a stakeholder workshop on the sustainable treatment and reuse of wastewater in the Mediterranean region. The event will take place at the premises of the Groupement de Développement Agricole (GDA) Sidi Amor in Tunisia on 22 September in the framework of the EU-funded AQUACYCLE project. The event forms part of a first series of stakeholder workshops with the theme Changing the Paradigm for Wastewater Reuse.
Participants will be invited to identify the issues and challenges related to the reuse of treated wastewater as well as possible solutions to overcome these. This will give the opportunity to discuss and collect the feedback and expectations about the envisaged AQUACYCLE project outcomes.
EU-funded AQUACYCLE is set to bring an eco-innovative wastewater treatment technology that will consist of anaerobic digestion, constructed wetlands and solar treatment for the cost-effective treatment of urban wastewater with minimal costs of operation and maximum environmental benefits.
