EU-funded AQUACYCLE successfully presented at the 3rd Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration

EU-funded AQUACYCLE project was successfully presented by Ms Safaa Chaabane from the Tunis International Center of Environmental Technologies (CITET) at the 3rd Euro-Mediterranean Conference for Environmental Integration (EMCEI).

The event, which took place in Tunisia from June 10 to 13, 2021, gathered influential scholars and top scientists from all over the world.

Her paper “Towards Sustainable Wastewater Treatment and Reuse (WWTR) in the Mediterranean Region – AQUACYCLE Project: APOC System as an eco-innovative technology for WWTR of Bent Saidane rural locality – NE Tunisia” was presented as a recorded online presentation in the first section of the conference entitled ‘Engineering applications for environmental management’.

EU-funded AQUACYCLE is set to bring an eco-innovative wastewater treatment technology that will consist of anaerobic digestion, constructed wetlands and solar treatment for the cost-effective treatment of urban wastewater with minimal costs of operation and maximum environmental benefits.
