EU-funded MAIA-TAQA pilot project to be presented at the International Conference “Protection and Restoration of the Environment XV”

The Center For Renewable Energy Sources (CRES) is participating in the International Conference “Protection and Restoration of the Environment XV” that will take place on 7-10 July 2020 in Kalamata, Greece.

The CRES will present a paper on the perspectives of solar cooling applications in south MED countries and the analytical case study of a solar thermal cooling system in the city of Aqaba in Jordan to be implemented under the EU-funded MAIA-TAQA project.

The Conference will be attended by more than 200 scientists coming from different countries from all over the world. Several interesting papers will be presented, covering a vast spectrum of topics from water resources management, energy, water and solid waste management to economics, social and cultural issues.

The MAIA-TAQA project gathers 8 partners from 6 countries, namely Greece, Italy, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt and Spain, and aims at promoting innovative resource efficiency services in the Mediterranean SMEs through the enhancement of their technical and management capacities.
