EU Jeel Connectors in Egypt are actively working to empower youth and promote intercultural dialogue through impactful initiatives that connect people and ideas.
Mohamed Rafat, EU Jeel Connector from Egypt, organised an event titled “Youth at the Heart of Skills, Employment, and Entrepreneurship” in collaboration with the Embassy of the Netherlands in Egypt. This Coffee Talk aimed to provide Egyptian youth with a platform to engage with relevant stakeholders and discuss their needs related to skills, employment, and entrepreneurship. The event aligned with the EU’s vision for the European Year of Skills and the Dutch “Youth at Heart” Strategy, addressing the pressing challenges faced by Egyptian youth in accessing employment opportunities.
Additionally, Yara Wael and Howida Faiad, two EU Jeel Connectors from Egypt, launched an inspiring initiative aimed at building bridges between Alexandria and Tirana, both designated as Mediterranean Capitals of Intercultural Dialogue for 2025. The event celebrated the EU’s ongoing efforts to preserve cultural heritage in Alexandria, in collaboration with the Anna Lindh Foundation and its remarkable programme, ALF In Motion.
These initiatives are powerful examples of how EU Jeel Connectors are fostering youth empowerment, promoting intercultural dialogue, and contributing to meaningful connections across the region.
