Each year, the European Union designates two cities to be European Capitals of Culture. In 2019, the title is being held by Matera in Italy and Plovdiv in Bulgaria.

To mark the occasion and stress its firm commitment to support and encourage cultural exchange, the European Union in Jordan is funding a Bulgarian cultural evening featuring the collective “Y Jazz”, a photo exhibition and a reception. The event will take place on 28 November at Al-Hussein Cultural Center – Ras Al Ain, in Amman, Jordan.

“Y Jazz” is a trio of young, vibrant and enthusiastic musicians living in Bulgaria, combining authentic jazz with Balkan and Folk music.

The free of charge event is organized by EUNIC Jordan in partnership with the Bulgarian Embassy to Jordan and Greater Amman Municipality.
