The EU NEIGHBOURS SOUTH Project will launch a photo contest between 05th and 23rd April 2018 for young people between 18 and 35 years old from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia. Eight winners – one from each country – will win a smartphone.

To take part in the photo contest, entitled #EU4YOUth “Shoot & Share”, young people should share a photo of their own illustrating how the European Union is positively changing their lives or impacting their community, with a post (no more than 50 words) including the hashtag #EU4YOUth.

Topics can cover anything related to the EU, whether EU projects or programmes.

Who can participate?

The contest is open to citizens from Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia, aged 18 to 35 years old.

How to enter the contest?

Participants should send a photo of their own with a personal comment as a post no longer than 50 words in English, French or Arabic. They are invited to highlight how the EU is positively changing their life or impacting their community. Topics can cover anything related to the EU, whether EU projects or programmes.

• Send your photo(s) (up to 5 photos) with a short description via Messenger to EU Neighbours South Facebook page
• We will upload your photo(s) to contest photo gallery after validation
• Invite your friends to Like your photo; the top liked 3 photos (in each country) will win.

Extension of the deadline until Monday 23rd April 2018 

Voting is open between 16th April 2018 and 23rd April 2018.

What are the prizes?

For each Southern Neighbourhood country (Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia), one Smartphone winner will be announced based on the number of Likes of the Post (Photo+comment).

In addition, two electronic tablets will be awarded to the second and third winners.

This #EU4Youth photo contest is conducted in the framework of the ‘OPEN Neighbourhood: Communicating for a Stronger Partnership: Connecting with citizens across the Southern Neighbourhood’ (‘EU NEIGHBOURS­ south’) project financed by the European Union.
