From 8-12 December, the European Union Integrated Border Assistance Mission (EUBAM Libya) and the General Administration of Anti-Narcotics (ANGA) successfully concluded a five-day training programme aimed at enhancing the capabilities of Libyan law enforcement officers in combating drug trafficking and organised crime.
A total of 41 officers from across Libya participated in this intensive programme, which focused on key areas such as transnational organised crime, criminal analysis, investigation techniques, inspection methods, and the effective use of multilateral and bilateral police cooperation tools.
This training marks the second iteration of a specialised capacity-building programme between EUBAM Libya and ANGA, building on the success of the inaugural session conducted in September. The continuity of this initiative underscores the shared commitment to enhancing ANGA’s operational effectiveness in disrupting drug trafficking networks while upholding the principles of the Rule of Law.
