EUPOL COPPS Justice Section advisors, in a full day working session at the EUPOL COPPS premises this week, discussed and provided to the Palestinian Judicial Institute (PJI) advice and comments on the relevance of the Institute’s planned activities for the next EU Grant. In particular, attention was given to the role of the PJI in building an independent judiciary.
The Mission has been supporting the PJI from the beginning. It provides a permanent training to judges and prosecutors. It serves as an important pillar of the independence of justice.
