EUPOLCOPPS facilitates workshop on corruption crimes

In the context of activities aimed at strengthening the cooperation between the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission and the Palestinian Police, on the 3rd of January 2018 EUPOLCOPPS facilitated a workshop on criminal investigations into corruption crimes. The workshop was attended by representatives of the Anti-Corruption Commission, Anti-Corruption Prosecutors, Heads of the Criminal Investigation Departments from all districts.

The participants addressed several topics: among them, the structure and competence of the Commission, the Anti-Corruption Law and the mechanisms of cooperation between the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Police as envisaged in the Memorandum of Understanding signed on the 18th of April 2017. The participants concluded the workshop by formulating recommendations to further improve the cooperation between the Anti-Corruption Commission and the Police in the fight against corruption. The workshop was opened by the Commissioner, Mr. Rafiq Al-Natsheh, the Head of EUPOLCOPPS Mission and the Brigadier Ramadan Helles, General Inspector of the Police.
