On Sunday and Monday, Executive Vice President Frans Timmermans will be in Egypt to attend official meetings with government officials and take part in climate talks, ahead of the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP27) which will be hosted by Egypt in the city of Sharm el–Sheikh this November.
In addition to constructive engagement ahead of COP27, Vice President Timmermans will initiate discussions on a Mediterranean Green Hydrogen Partnership and deepen engagement on topics of mutual interest, such as the clean energy transition and energy efficiency, green growth models and diversification, sustainable finance, carbon markets and adaptation.
