BUSINESSMED was part of ECOMONDO convention, the largest international fair dedicated to sustainability issues, which took place in Rimini from 8 to 11 November and this year, in addition to the traditional face-to-face performance, this year edition was also organized online for a bigger participation of all the areas and actors involved, from investors to companies, in the processes related to ecological transition.
On the agenda was full program of conferences, debates, and spaces for discussion on future technological trends, on the strategy for implementing the circular economy and a focus on the state of the art of projects. During two panels bringing together different stakeholders (EU-funded projects, research, academia) BUSINESSMED had the opportunity to share its experience as a representative of the business community and discuss how to structure and exploit existing capacities, funding sources and networks, as well as best practices, lessons learned, bottlenecks and opportunities for blue skills and careers in support of the European Green Deal.
The event included the presentation of data from the a study outlining some of the possible new energy scenarios for the region in light of the new European targets for 2030 and the high energy prices incurred since the onset of the war in Ukraine, which, as highlighted in the States General study, are set to remain higher in the short to medium term than in the past.
