FEMISE Third Internal Research Competition addresses role of EU in facilitating modernisation, transition and international openness of Mediterranean countries

Affiliates to the Euro-Mediterranean Forum of Economic Institutes (FEMISE) on the EU-funded project “Support to economic research, studies and dialogue of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership” are invited to take part in FEMISE’s third internal competition 2017/18 on ‘The Role of the EU in facilitating the modernisation, the transition and international openness of the Mediterranean countries.’

For this edition of the FEMISE internal competition, proposed research questions focus on 7 main sub-themes:

1. Migration and mobility of people

2. The refugees’ crisis

3. Evaluation of the Association Agreements

4. The role of the Euro-Med Partnership on the transition process

5. Rules of origin and cumulation and trade facilitation

6. Innovation and technology transfer

7. Renewable energies, sustainable development, climate change and problems of Water

The deadline for the submission is on the 26 June 2017.

FEMISE is an Association that receives EU-funding, aiming through its activities to contribute to the reinforcement of dialogue on economic and financial issues in the Euro-Mediterranean partnership, within the framework of the European Neighbourhood Policy and the Union for the Mediterranean. More specifically, it seeks to improve understanding of the priority stakes in the economic and social spheres, and their repercussions on the Mediterranean partners in the framework of their implementation of EU Association Agreements and Action Plans.
